Colombia Investment Summit

September of 2018. It is the most important event for investments and strategic alliances in the country for all sectors of the economy. This initiative, headed by The Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism through ProColombia, will take place at the Ágora Convention Center involving the participation of the President of the Republic of Colombia, Iván Duque, ministers, directors of government entities, as well as senior executives of national and foreign companies, and international investors interested in establishing their business in Colombia.

This is the best moment for doing business in Colombia. Its dynamic and stable economic system reflects a GDP growth of 2.7% for 2018, circumstance that, combined with its market of more than 50 million inhabitants, plus a growing middle class, a strategic location and preferential access to more than 60 countries and 1.5 billion consumers, turns Colombia as the best place to do business. The country is positioned as one of the most attractive destinations in the world for foreign companies that seek to expand their operations, conquer new markets, expand their network of allies and strategic partners, and cover in a more efficiently way all their businesses in Latin America and the rest of the world.

The Colombia Investment Summit is the perfect scenario to facilitate connections between foreign investors and investment opportunities in Colombia, and between Colombian companies and possible allies or strategic foreign partners.

In its 2017 version, the Colombia Investment Summit had the participation of more than 120 investors from around the world, about 125 investment projects, and the presence of 60 support entities such as Free Trade Zones, Chambers of Commerce, Regional Promotion Agencies, among others. During the event, more than 1,000 business meetings took place.

This year, it is expected the assistance of 200 foreign investors and more than 1,500 business meetings for creating investment opportunities in Colombia in any of the productive chains of agroindustry, metalworking, chemicals and life sciences, information technologies and telecommunications industries, infrastructure, energy, and private equity funds.
