MAGIC Online one of the most important tradeshows in the fashion industry will have the participation of 23 Colombian companies at Sourcing, Coterie, Project Men and Micam marketplaces. From January 16th through May 1st , exporters and supliers in the industry will have the possibility of accessing a virtual market that attracts a significant number of international buyers.

Colombian brands shine with their proposals for sustainability and social responsibility in footwear, accessories, and casual clothing at Micam, one of the most important footwear events in the world. For STIVALI, the concept of using natural leather is based on the desire to be part of the waste recycling solution of the food industry and the belief in the use of long-lasting materials. Committed to social responsibility, 65% of the production team are women.

The Colombian brand NAJASH at Coterie, trusts in the magic of the ancestral world, working with the Wayuu, Kamsa, Embera and Iraka indigenous communities, bringing their culture and tradition to products with high added value. OSOP with its participation in Project Men, a digital platform for the global men's fashion trade, presents a luxury sports proposal, leisurewear, fashion for modern executives and gender-conscious garments.

WHITMAN, offers service of repair and maintenance of its garments in an effort to extend their useful life and eliminate what the brand calls a “short and unconscious” consumption. Whitman uses 100% sustainable buttons making them in tagua seed or wood, completely biodegradable materials.

Sourcing at Magic, which is held from March 1st to May 1st , will have the participation of 12 Colombian full package manufacturers. FOKUS GREEN, brings high-end sustainable fashion, free of chemicals, dyes and with 0 discharge of water in production, using recycling technologies and recycling of cotton recovered from industrial waste + recycled polyester from recovered plastic bottles from the ocean. All with international certificate. GREENTEX also participates, and presents a competitive proposal through the use of supplies, textiles and clothing both in PFP, blank, and digitally printed, using ecological printing without water.

LAFAYETTE, with its long history of sustainable development, comes back to the event with the use of recycled polyester made from pet bottles, eco-friendly digital printing with zero water consumption and zero CO emissions.

Another Colombian brand that is present is TEJIDOS GULFER, committed to responsible production, using solvents that are not harmful to the environment, and cleans the water used in the dyeing process before returning it.

In 2020, Colombian textile exports reached USD 129.5 million at 56 countries. Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, the United States and Peru, represented 78.89% of participation.
