Breaking new ground after 20 successful editions in Las Vegas, this year's event promises a vibrant showcase at the Miami Beach Convention Center from January 23 to 25.

Colombia, a beacon of trustworthiness in the beauty industry, takes center stage at Cosmoprof Miami 2024 with ten distinguished beauty brands. Hailing from the El Valle del Cauca region, these Colombian brands represent a booming industry that positions the region as the second-largest exporter of cosmetic and personal care products in the country. The diverse business fabric has attracted global giants like Colgate, JOHNSON & JOHNSON, and Unilever, alongside local champions like Recamier, Bivien, and Tecnoquímicas.

The ten standout companies participating at Cosmoprof are Naprolab, which leads the way with an extraordinary product offering grounded in nanotechnology and natural extracts. Laboratorio San Jorge, an expert in products with natural ingredients like Calendula, sourced from the Colombian Pacific. La Poción, which focuses on developing products enriched with natural ingredients such as cacay oil, banana, avocado, among others.

Bivien takes a pediatrician-approved route with its formulas featuring Hidrosense. Laboratorios Osa distinguishes itself with health and personal care products with high standards of quality and affordable prices.

Dermanat is dedicated to creating skin health and beauty products that are not only cruelty-free but also affordable. Infinitek Paris goes beyond skincare, advocating for female empowerment and seeking to enhance people's quality of life through their skincare offerings. Laboratorios L'MAR, under the brand Etniker, introduces stellar hair products harnessing the unique properties of ancestral ingredients from Colombia. Naturesse with its brand Cedrela, takes a distinctive approach by incorporating pre and probiotics, along with natural ingredients sourced from different regions across Colombia. Leche Pal Pelo steps in with a revolutionary hair care line tailored specifically for the dynamic needs of Latin and ethnic women.

The Chamber of Commerce of Cali, spearheading these companies' participation, highlights the Cali – Valle del Cauca Beauty Cluster's impressive growth. With exports between January and October 2023 reaching US$ 170 million, this dynamic cluster has set its sights on sophisticated markets, including Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, and the United States.

“We are proud of the diversity and sophistication of the business ecosystem that has been developing in Valle del Cauca, which has allowed the installation of foreign capital companies that boost the internationalization of the industry. Since its inception in 2015, the Beauty Cluster of the region has consolidated a powerful work agenda aimed at the development of new products and access to new preferred markets”, explains Alexandra Pedraza: Manager of Cluster Initiatives and Productive Transformation.

Furthermore, Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia, the promotion agency of the country, applauds the sector's global impact. In 2023, cosmetics and toiletries exports reached US$ 628.3 million, with the United States alone receiving US$ 28.3 million worth of products. This growth reflects the sector's commitment to quality and innovation.

La Pocion, one of the featured brands at Cosmoprof Miami, considers this event crucial for our international positioning. “It serves as a platform to connect with strategic allies and new distributors. La Pocion takes pride in the presentation and quality of its packaging, emphasizing a commitment to reducing plastic usage”, the company says.

Naturesse on the other hand, states that “Conquering the Latin American beauty markets is a strategic growth pillar for our company. Cosmoprof Miami is the perfect tradeshow to look for new business opportunities”.

Colombia's 121 Free Trade Zones, strategically located near major ports and airports, reduce production costs and ensure efficient logistics. As Cosmoprof Miami expands its reach, Colombia stands as an ideal destination for brands looking to maximize their business potential in the Americas.

In the words of Caballero, “Beyond the product excellence, quality and affordability of our sector, we celebrate the participation of these Colombian brands, which embody a commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility, actively supporting vulnerable communities across our Valle del Cauca region. This event allows the country to showcase the best Colombian products made with natural ingredients, true examples of the fusion of beauty and conscience.”
