ProColombia, representing the Ambassador of Colombia to the United States, H.E. Luis Gilberto Murillo, actively participated in the panel titled "Climate Strategies: Green & Blue Economies". The discussion revolved around Colombia's rich biodiversity, energy transition, and Action Climate Law, illustrating the nation's potential to grow socially and economically in a sustainable and greener manner, ultimately aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

At this international event, featuring 50 governmental agencies and 85 countries, ProColombia received high acclaim for its commitment to fostering environmentally friendly and socially inclusive investments. Its innovative approaches propelled it to the forefront of sustainable development on the global stage.

The award specifically acknowledges Colombia's new policies and ProColombia's outstanding contributions to the pursuit of sustainable investments, reshaping the country's economic landscape. The strategic objectives include energy transition, agro-industrialization, reindustrialization in health and defense for life sectors, territories, and community-friendly initiatives.

ProColombia's notable success in attracting foreign direct investment, reaching a record US$ 17 billion in 2022, and facilitating over 204 investment projects in the last year, has firmly established Colombia as a global leader in sustainable and responsible investment practices. Moreover, ProColombia's current initiatives are projected to generate approximately 121,000 jobs nationwide, reflecting a commitment to inclusive and impactful development.

ProColombia is ready to officiate the opening of the Colombia Investment Summit, the country's main event to attract foreign investment that will take place in Bogotá and 12 regions, between November 20 and 28, 2023. A meeting that adds to the actions to promote the arrival of international capital projects with a sustainable vocation.
